Patty and Mayor Gates have long been champions for the Greeley community and beyond. Through their commitment to service, they have supported numerous initiatives that align with United Way’s mission of building powerful partnerships to bring about lasting community-wide change.

Mayor Gates has served the Greeley community with distinction, not only through his role as mayor but also through his dedication to fostering partnerships that address critical local needs. Patty Gates has been equally impactful, devoting her time and energy to causes that uplift individuals and families throughout the region. The Humanitarian of the Year Award was formally presented during the Leaders in Giving Reception hosted by United Way of Weld County on December 2. This event brings together United Way Leadership Givers to celebrate philanthropic achievements and the collective impact of giving.
