United Way of Weld County Housing Navigation Center (HNC) and cold weather shelter (CWS), along with other area shelters and child care sites, are in need of supplies due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
“With the basic essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, cleaning agents, surgical masks and other items not available or in short supply in grocery stores as well as online, donations from our community are being accepted to help the most vulnerable in Weld County,” said Melanie Woolman, director of community impact for United Way of Weld County. “People in northern Colorado are so generous and have always stepped up when Weld County residents needed it the most whether it be the Windsor tornado in 2008 or the floods in 2013. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the area’s shelters and child care centers when it comes to needing more supplies to help keep their buildings clean and their clients safe.”
If you are shopping and see any of these items, please consider purchasing one or two to donate. Your generosity is much needed and appreciated.
