The CDC has released their recommendations here. Maybe you don’t feel comfortable going out. That is fine! There is plenty of fall activities you can enjoy with your family in the comfort of your own home:
- An outdoor Halloween movie night with local family and friends who can maintain more than 6 feet of distance from each other.
- Carving and decorating pumpkins with people in your household, and then displaying them.
- Going on a Halloween scavenger hunt through the neighborhood by giving children a list of things to look for a while looking at Halloween decorations from a distance.
- A virtual Halloween costume contest.
- A Halloween movie night at home with fun fall snacks (caramel apples, candy, apple cider, etc.)
- Put together special Halloween treat packages for family and friends to send in the mail.
- Write or draw clues on a piece of paper to send the kids on a candy treasure hunt through the house.
- Set out a candy buffet for a Halloween-night dinner.
