In a time of significant change, how will United Ways maintain relevance? What will successful United Ways look like five years from now? 10 years? Even 20? There are two imperatives for our success: achieving impact in partnership with our communities and advancing equity.
Join Bill Crim, president & CEO of United Way of Salt Lake, in person as well as United Way of Salt Lake staff virtually for a discussion of how a United Way and a community can re-orient themselves to the practice of collective impact. The plenary sessions will feature Mr. Crim along with Doug Elliott of The Weld Trust and Kristin Todd of Community Foundation of Northern Colorado; both Mr. Elliott and Ms. Todd are formerly with Daniels Fund and will provide the funders perspective on collective impact. Breakout sessions under development will include United Way of Salt Lake staff focusing on four functional areas and how the work has changed at their United Way to catalyze collective impact, including: Board of Directors and Lead Staff; Community Impact; Finance and Operations; Fundraising and Communications.
Additional sessions will highlight the work of Colorado United Ways making strides to advance equity in their communities and sharing resources and practices with participants. The event will end mid-day on Tuesday after updates from United Way Worldwide and lunch.
Please join United Way of Larimer County and United Way of Weld County in Northern Colorado for this unique experience, some mind-changing learning and networking opportunities!
