UW needs donors
Gary Burton, Chairman of the 2011-12 United Way of Weld County Community Campaign announced to his fellow Board members that the goal for this campaign is to actively connect with the community and receive donations from over 9,000 donors.

“We have to face the fact that we are woefully short on educating the total community and reaching the nearly 252,000 residents in our community who chose for one reason or another not to support United Way. That reason can be as simple as people do not know how to give. The Campaign Cabinet is filling up and these volunteers are going to help me and the United Way staff what United Way does and how easy it is to give. Only 3% give to meet the needs of 25%!” said Burton. “Imagine the lives that would change if 4% gave…it would be phenomenal!”

United Way donations are invested to support the growing needs in Weld County. “The volunteers serving with me are proud to give of their time knowing that our work makes a difference in our community. All of the money raised here, stays right here to serve the needs of nearly I in 4 Weld County residents.”
An in depth analysis of last year’s Campaign provided the calculation that receiving a gift from 9282 donors would help United Way support the many programs that offer  services to Weld County residents.
