The first three years of a child’s life are a critical time of growth and development; beginning in infancy, high quality child care affects a child’s ability to succeed in school, to develop relationships, and to master social competence. In the United States, nearly 11 million children under age five spend some or all of their day being cared for by someone other than their parents.

 

Early Care and Education Services (ECES) gives many forms of support to professional child care providers, parents, and caregivers for offering an enriching early childhood care experience. As a comprehensive Weld County resource, ECES facilitates many United Way of Weld County programs:
