Thank you to Weld County Department of Human Services for their partnership and hard work at Dr. Bruce Perry training

United Way of Weld County had an opportunity to partner with our Weld County Department of Human Services on April 11 in providing a 5 ½ hour training to 500 health and human service professionals, parents and community members on “The Impact of Trauma and Neglect on the Developing Child.” The presenter was Dr. Bruce Perry, Senior Fellow of the Child Trauma Academy in Houston, Texas.

This training was arranged and coordinated thanks to the leadership and dedication of our Weld County Department of Human Services professionals. They did the heavy lifting on this event. United Way of Weld County helped with some of the promotion and registration.

I would like to thank our friends at Weld County Department of Human Services for the work they do every day for children, youth and families. We are proud of our many partnerships. When government and nonprofits partner, we can achieve more and maximize the use of our resources. When we coordinate, we can be cost effective and efficient. We make a greater impact when we work together.
