Owners may contact the Humane Society immediately if a pet is discovered missing or if a stray animal is found. Animal Control Officers can pick up the animal from you, or if you feel it is safe to handle, you may bring the animal in to the Humane Society. Stray animals are held for five days. The Humane Society is only able to return animals to their homes if they are wearing current identification or are micro chipped. Wildlife and farm animals are not accepted. Only animals that are seriously ill, injured or behaviorally vicious are euthanized.
