Sponsored by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration. Provides information to health professionals and the public, develops educational and reference materials, and provides technical assistance in program development. Subjects covered are women's health, including pregnancy and childbirth; infant, child, and adolescent health; nutrition; children with special health needs; injury and violence prevention; and maternal an child health programs and services. Materials include professional literature, curricula, patient education materials, audio visuals, and information about organizations and programs. Participates in the Combined Health Information Database (CHID) and National Library of Medicine's DIRLINE. Provides online databases: MCHLine, Organizations Database, MCH Projects Database, and Title V Information System. Appointments preferred for onsite visits.
