The Victims Services Unit consists of two coordinators. These two coordinators provide victim services to the victims of crime within the City of Greeley as well as to eight other communities in the 19th Judicial District (Weld County). Besides the two full time victim advocates there are on average, 20 volunteer advocates. The aftermath of crime or personal tragedy stemming from a crime or traffic accident, can impact victims, witnesses and family members who often endure a time of confusion, frustration and disorganization while attempting to rebuild their lives. With the aid of our Victim Advocates, this impact can be reduced. Without these trained volunteers and the time and talents that they donate in whatever way necessary to help victims regain some control in their lives, the victims would suffer additional duress due to their being a victim of crime.
