The Personnel and Training Unit is responsible for the selection process and training of the department's sworn and civilian staff. The ability to provide quality police service to Greeley citizens is greatly dependent on the skills and abilities of Department employees. A wide range of training was provided for civilian and sworn personnel. Training for officers was provided in a variety of formats including a twenty-four in-service academy and monthly refresher training in firearms and arrest control tactics. Roll call training also provides training on various topics. The Department's position is to ensure that the best and most current training is made available to the personnel of the Police Department.
