Fourteen investigators, two support and three supervisors staff the Investigations Section. The sections is divided into three units. The General Assignment unit which consist of five investigators and one supervisor handles all check frauds, forgeries, thefts and liquor license inspections. The Gang Intervention Unit, staffed by three investigators and supervised by the Target Offense Team supervisor handles all gang related crimes assigned to the section. On Major crime incidents such as homicides, missing person, and robberies-investigators from all units are pulled together to form the investigative team. Crime Scene Technicians are responsible for all evidence collection at major crime scenes.
