A Community Service Unit; which have officers assigned to a unit providing presentations to thousands of Greeley residents on Crime Prevention, Neighborhood Watch, Stranger Safety, Bicycle Safety , and numerous subjects. This unit also handles Santa Cops, Adopt-A-Cop and the "Just Say No" programs. A specific emphasis is placed on outreach to Greeley youth. Programs directed to toward Greeley youth include: D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), G.R.E.A.T. (Gang Resistance Education and Training , and Law Related Education classes in local high schools, and the Explorer Post designed to positive interaction with police officers and youth interested in law enforcement careers.
