The Community Outreach Program (C.O.P.) is an innovative partnership designed by the Youth Initiative Division to combine the services of the Greeley Recreation Department and the Greeley Police Department. The purpose C.O.P. is to promote a preventative presence in our community that will result in a reduction of criminal activity 4s, provide recreational alternatives for our youth, and provide assistance to parents in an effort to build essential bridges between community resources. It allows and 2 Sergeants. The program allows officers to build rapport with residents located near sites. Helps learn their concerns, provide visible police presence to discourage criminal activity. The site consist of an office run by a full time recreation staff person; to organize events, and an additional office for the police to conduct interview, finish paperwork and perform a variety of other tasks.
