The first and most critical contact a citizen has with the Greeley Police Department is with the Communications Section. Thirty-six civilian dispatchers provide 24 hour coverage. They receive calls for service and dispatch emergency personnel to crime scenes fires, medical emergencies and a variety of other requests for assistance. The Communications Section is an Emergency Medical Dispatch Center (EMD).
