The federal Food Stamp Program helps low-income people but food. It's not necessary to be receiving other assistance in order to be eligible, but people don't receive food stamps automatically- they must apply and be found eligible. You must be seen in person for this program. The technician then has 30 days to approve your case unless you qualify for expedited food stamps (you would receive them within 8 days of your application). Only your technician can determine if you qualify for expedited food stamps or not.
