The Colorado Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid) implements the provisions of the Social Security Act, Title XIX. The goals of the program are to promote a healthy population, to prevent illness and premature death, and to correct disability. Medical benefits include both in-patient and out-patient hospital and physician services, prescription drugs, home health care services, skilled and intermediate nursing home facilities and resident care facilities for children.
