HOME is a Federal program which provides funds for the purpose of providing safe, decent and affordable housing in our community. Funds can be used for acquisition of land for new construction of affordable housing. Examples include new construction of Casa Rosa, Stagecoach Gardens, Habitat and Plaza del Milagro. 15 percent of HOME funds annually must be set aside for Community Housing Development Organizations.
