Working Together - Promises for Children

We Promise to Work Together for the Well Being of Our Children.

That’s a promise that’s been made by a partnership of community leaders, committed organizations, companies, volunteers and staff members of United Way of Weld County. This partnership is focused on one very important thing: to improve the well being of every child in Weld County by focusing on the critical growth and brain development period from pre-birth to six years of age. Why? To make sure every child in our county has the necessary skills to be ready to enter school and succeed.

Every thing we do is designed to help families help their children grow—in an environment where they are safe, healthy, nurtured and able to develop to their full potential.

We make these 20 Promises to every family in Weld County

Bright Beginnings

Do you have a new baby or a toddler, or know someone who does? United Way of Weld County’s Bright Beginnings Program provides home visits that offer support and information to parents of newborns on health, safety, child care, community resources, low cost health insurance, early brain development, and the importance of reading to children from birth. Visits are also available for parents of children ages 12-24 months offering information and tools that help families encourage language development during the child’s second year of life.
