What We Do…..Our Strategies
You likely know United Way best for our role in supporting a network of health and human services. The problems of today demand that we not only help assure a safety net of non-profit organizations are helping people in our community, but that we have a more strategic approach. In addition, contributors are rightfully expecting more accountability and results for their donations. United Way of Weld County has developed strategies that build on our past strengths and response to the current and future demands and needs of our community.
Our Strategies
- Identify issues of highest concern for our community
- Build strategies that focus on root causes of problems not just symptoms or quick fixes to help people.
- Bring together and partner with non-profit organizations, government agencies, foundations, businesses and community leaders to collaborate on solutions so that we can maximize resources and be most effective.
- Maximize the development of monetary and non-monetary resources that enable solutions to be implemented.
- Track progress and report results
- Provide support and actively participate or lead and directly provide the help that is needed to change lives and community conditions.
- Support and empower excellence in non-profit management and accountability.
We believe that no one organization working alone can achieve as much as we can by working together. We believe that to truly improve lives in our community, we must act collectively to impact the critical issues affecting our residents. A united approach is best.
We believe we need to balance helping people in crisis, helping them move beyond their crisis and work to help people prevent crisis.
We are committed to brining together partners across all sectors to develop solutions to community problems. In so doing, we create sustainable community change.
