| CHP+ Affordable Health Insurance |
|
What is it? CHP+ is low-cost health and dental insurance for Colorado’s children 18 or younger. It’s for families that make too much money to join Medicaid, but not enough to afford private insurance.
Children may qualify if:
Simply dial 2-1-1 and one of the 211 information specialists will connect you with the Promises staff member who can set up an appointment to help you complete the application To learn more about CHP+ visit www.CHPplus.org,
Promises for Children, Weld County’s Early Childhood Council, recognizes that this program is sometimes a best kept secret that families don’t know about, or think that they make too much money to qualify. That’s the reason that the Council submitted a grant to The Colorado Health Foundation and was recently awarded $225,000 to assist families in applying for this coverage for the next three years. The application process can be daunting; however, trained dedicated staff are available to assist you in applying for your family.
“All of Colorado’s children deserve a healthy start – including health insurance, a healthy lifestyle and a healthy family.” – From Governor Bill Ritter’s Colorado Promise |
